Should I take the 12TB or the 16TB?
They are the same drive line in a different capacity, with the same 6Gb/s SATA and 3.5" LFF. The 16TB gives you 1.3x the capacity per bay. Where bays are the constraint (a full backplane, or a rack you cannot grow), the larger capacity is usually cheaper per usable terabyte once you count the chassis it saves.
