This is a Half-height internal / external / 1U autoloader part on 12Gb/s SAS. It fits any bay wired for 12Gb/s SAS. Send us your server model and we will confirm backplane support, firmware level and any bracket or caddy required before you order. That check is part of every order we ship.
Is LTO-9 compatible with my drive?
18TB native at LTO-9. Up to LTO-7, drives write one generation back and read two back. LTO-8 and LTO-9 drives only read and write one generation back: an LTO-9 drive handles LTO-9 and LTO-8 media but not LTO-7. Check what your drive is before buying media, because the wrong generation is the commonest returned item in this category. Compressed figures quoted by makers assume 2.5:1, which real data rarely reaches.
