Product overview
Dell lists HYT9P as a PowerVault PV124T LTO-4 SAS 43473 autoloader. A tape drive is only as supportable as the HBA and the backup software behind it; this unit is SAS. Tell us the backup product and version and we will confirm the combination is supported.
If the part is wrong for your platform we will say so and suggest the one that is, which is cheaper for both of us than a return.

What you get ordering this from us
Ordered by part number
Quoted and supplied against HYT9P specifically, so what arrives is what your build sheet asks for.
Read compatibility confirmed
We check the drive generation against the oldest cartridges in your archive before you commit to it.
Media and cleaning quoted together
Cartridges and cleaning tapes are on the same quote, because a drive without them does not back anything up.
Questions buyers ask about this part
Is HYT9P genuine and is the warranty intact?
Yes. It ships new in Dell packaging, which is what keeps the warranty and the firmware entitlement valid. Anything we cannot supply that way we tell you about before you order.
Will HYT9P work in my server?
Tell us the library, the backup software version and the oldest cartridge generation you still need to read. Tape reads back further than it writes, and the software support matrix matters as much as the hardware.
Do you accept purchase orders and quote at volume?
Yes, POs from qualified organisations, net terms on approval, and banded pricing once the quantity is worth banding. Send the number and we will price it properly.
