Will the 7713 64-Core drop into my board?

It needs Socket SP3 and a board that supports Milan (Zen 3). Socket is absolute — a processor for another socket will not fit whatever else matches — and the board also needs a BIOS level that recognises this stepping. Send us the server or board model and we will confirm both before you order.

What cooling does the 7713 64-Core need?

It is a 225W part, so the chassis has to be rated for that at the ambient temperature you run. Dropping a 225W processor into a chassis specified for a lower-wattage bin will throttle under sustained load rather than fail outright, which is harder to diagnose.
